DIY: EASY - HOW TO MAKE A MIRRORED VANITY TRAY

....I love to create beautiful easy to do projects. It's nice to be able to create something that is very inexpensive and quick to make. This vanity tray is an example of such a project. It's easy, cheap, unique and gorgeous. This item can be a great gift idea especially for those ladies that have everything. I hope you enjoy making and using this beyoutiful vanity tray.

Learn how to create this easy to make vanity tray including step by step instructions below...

This project only cost me five dollars. All items where purchased at the dollar store.

  What you will need:
-  Small wall mirror (a similar item is the: Ikea LOTS Mirror )
- Quick drying glue (such as crazy glue)
-  Gems
-  Scisors

-  No slip stopper
- Faux pearl necklace (the kind where each pearl is secured to the string, it should be long enough to go around the mirror twice so you might need to purchase two.)
How to make the vanity mirror:
  1. On the back of the mirror take the stoppers and glue one on each of the four corners. I used two for each corner gluing one on top of the other to give the tray a little more height. Let the glue dry for a minute. (Wait time depends on the type of glue you are using, the one I am using is quick drying)
  2.  Turn the mirror over, using the gems decide how you are going to position them in each of the four corners. Once you have decided, glue them into place. Let the glue dry.

  3. Take the faux pearl necklace and measure the distance between one gem design to the other (corner to corner) Using this measurement cut the necklace into eight strips.
  4. Close to the edge of the mirror make a straight line of glue for where you want to position the pearls. Place one piece of the strip onto glue. Hold in place for 30 seconds. Next to the pearls make another line of glue. Place the second strip of pearls onto the glue. Repeat for each side of the mirror.
  5. Once all eight pearl stripes have been glued into place you may add more gems to your liking. I glued gems onto the pearls to give it more of a glamorous look. I also added more gems to each of the four comers.
  6. Clean the mirror with some paper towel and window cleaner and VOILA, your BEYOUTIFUL vanity tray is ready!
**Tip: In case you get glue onto the surface of the mirror by accident, spray some window cleaner on and let soak of a couple of minute, after gently scrub with a sponge and the glue with slide off.
                                                           Stay Be-You-tiful!
                                                                                  Love Always,
                                                                                                     Forever Sia xoxox
